The Eighth incarnation of the Doctor has had a number of
companions, though all the long term companions were in book form, most notably Sam(antha) who came from 1990s
London, Fitz Kreuger who came from the 1960s,
Compassion who was a member of the Paradox Faction, whose
stated aim was to pervert the Doctor's genetic structure to their own
purposes. She suffered a strange transformation.
Anji Kapoor came from early twenty-first century London and
left the Doctor to return to her life as a Futures Trader in the City
Trix came from contempory Earth and was a master of disguise and sneaking.
The Doctor was accompanied by Fitz and Trix when he met his
final enemy in this incarnation.
