Dr Conway is assigned a new patient. Although the species is new to Federation medicine, it's basic layout is fairly straightforward and the problem obvious. But there were a few... interesting points - the alien was found unconscious and the records indicate that it had eaten the other member of its crew: the medic!

When Conway describes his new patient to a couple of his colleagues, he is horrified to learn he has what is considered to be a god!

Eventually a cure is effected and the recovered alien continues on its way. Once his doctor had been properly re-educated!

When the alien has a long term medical problem to sort out at his destination its first thought was Dr Conway. The problem was a society that appeared to glory in visually spectacular diseases.

Neither he nor the Monitor Corps were expecting war though, so when Lonvellin and his ship disappeared in a mushroom cloud, every one is still off balance, thinking there is no target the Etlan Empire could reach until Dr Conway realised there was one place that every medic would know: Sector General Hospital.

It quickly fell to Dr Conway to maintain the increasingly shattered remnants of the great hospital as a functioning medical facility.
