So, Rincewind's wandering round the Discworld, trying to be as invisible as possible, but this is Rincewind we're talking about so things aren't going to be normal for long!

Unknown to the unfortunate wizard the research labs of Unseen University have received a... request from the Patrician. Apparently he too has received a request - this time from the Grand Vizier of the Counterweight Continent. A request that it irked him to have to comply with. For some reason the vizier wanted a wizard, and the Patrician was determined to see that he got one. The University wizards all come up with convincing reasons why they can't comply. But they do come up with a name: Rincewind! Now, the wizards at Unseen U don't know where he is, but that's not a problem, really: just knock together a program on Hex and grab him from his hiding place. Then it's just a matter of feeding the co-ordinates into the new travel spell to ensure that he gets there in time.

As far as anyone at Unseen U is concerned, everything seemed to go as planned, but their calculations were slightly out and rather than landing in the capital Rincewind is deposited by the side of a road somewhere in the middle of nowhere. Naturally he has no idea where he is, but his one undoubted skill comes to his aid. Besides, he has known someone who spoke the language of those thronging the road.

Not knowing where to go is a problem, but money isn't as his mystical luggage has come along with him. When he tried to use the existence of this to get good treatment he is rudely informed that it is nothing special! Finally he's allowed to tag along with a troupe of travelling players.

Also on the counterweight continent is a touring party of OAPs, along with their guide. It's a relatively fit group of OAPs, mind, and some of their walking aids might be considered a trifle unusual.

Cohen and the Silver Horde have arrived to create mayhem on this otherwise tranquil continent!

But there are plans within plans and it's difficult to know who your friends might be!
