Our Eponymous Hero is a thirteen-year-old school child. Bored with schoolwork, he decides to dabble in the occult so that he could revel in untold wealth, power and enjoy the most beautiful women in history (he is thirteen after all!).

He soon gets his hands on a book of demonology and he commenced to call up a minor demon for practice. What he got was Rincewind, released from the dungeon dimensions.

Rincewind listens to the child's requests with a growing sense of horror; he is too honest to be able to lie (to himself anyway) about having the power to fulfil Eric's demands. However, he finds that the little tyke had wrought better than he knew for that binding spell had really worked and Rincewind found himself compelled to act as Eric's demon.

Rincewind gets an even bigger shock when he actually tries some magic.

It works!

So he and Eric are zipping off through history, chasing down The Beginning, Beauty in all its guises and wealth as dreamt of by a rampant teen!

But what's the secret behind Rincewind's sudden abilities? For this is the only wizard to have negative magical power!
