Daniel Keyes

(Born 1927, died ??)

Mr Keyes was a lecturer in English at University level. He first started his career in Science Fiction as an associate editor of Marvel Science Fiction for the 10 months Feb - Nov 1951. His writing career got off the ground in 1952 with a a short story in Marvel Science Fiction. His main claim for fame is the short story, later expanded to novel, Flowers for Algernon, which was also filmed in 1968 as Charly.

Mr Keyes has written only two science fiction novels that I am aware of and the power of Flowers for Algernon has completely overshadowed the rest of his career.
